Today, I’m going to show you some of the features of the Scholtès induction hobs. I’m actually very excited to show you some of these amazing features, as they give you the best results possible.

One thing you’re going to notice is the precise control of the temperature and also the stability. Induction cooking is up to forty percent faster than any ceramic or electric element. In fact, did you know that Scholtès introduced and launched their first induction hob in 1979? Since then, they’ve been leading the way with new technology.

One of the great safety features of the induction hob is the automatic pot detection, which means the hot plate will only switch on when in contact with a pot or pan. As an additional safety feature, the hot plate will only switch on when a certain size pot or pan is detected. This prevents any metallic object, like a pepper grinder or a garlic crusher, from accidentally activating the hot plate.

The booster function allows you to bring food up to a high temperature as quickly as possible. Actually, let me show you how quickly I can bring this water to a boil.

As you can see, it only took a couple of minutes to boil the water. And the best thing? It didn’t even burn the paper underneath!

The booster function works by combining the power from other zones into a single one. After four minutes, it will go back to the original power level. This safety feature reduces the likelihood of burning your food if forgotten.

I can show you the level of control you have with the Scholtès induction hob. Let me put this aside. I’ve got a shallow pan here with some chocolate that I want to melt. You just put it on number one, and slowly, the chocolate will melt—without burning the plastic.

Residual heat indicators are fantastic. Basically, they show you on the panel: a capital “H” means the top is still really hot, while a lowercase “h” means it’s just quite warm, so you can touch it.

Other features include automatic switch-off, a minute minder (which is basically a timer), a child lock, and—what I love the most—the spill sensor. This means that if your milk boils over, the whole hot plate will switch off.

And it’s also very easy to clean!
