Orana Community Place is more than just a building, it’s a thriving hub where people of all ages come together to learn, connect, and create. As the heart of the local neighbourhood, it fosters meaningful relationships and enriches the community through diverse programs, from educational workshops to social gatherings.

As a creative media agency passionate about storytelling, BossMan Media jumped at the chance to work with the City of Casey to showcase Orana’s impact through a compelling video series. Bringing Orana’s Story to Life.

The City of Casey partnered with BossMan Media to create a compelling video campaign that would highlight the essence of Orana Community Place. Collaborating with Balcon Group and Beachwood Homes, the two key developers behind the project, our goal was to showcase Orana as a thriving hub for connection, creativity, and personal growth.

BossMan Media focused on authentic storytelling, capturing real experiences of residents and stakeholders. We aimed to reflect the inclusive and dynamic nature of Orana, a place where people from all walks of life come together to learn, share, and create.

By highlighting the collaboration between the City of Casey and its development partners, we illustrated how their shared vision transformed Orana into a sanctuary for community engagement. Through this approach, we ensured that viewers didn’t just learn about Orana—they felt its energy and spirit.

Authentic Storytelling and Cinematic Execution.

Our team meticulously planned and executed each phase of production to ensure an authentic and engaging representation of Orana. We conducted heartfelt interviews with residents, community leaders, and key stakeholders to bring personal narratives to the forefront. These stories highlighted the diverse activities that take place in Orana—from workshops to creative sessions—showcasing the connections formed within the space.

A key theme of the campaign was the collaboration between the City of Casey, Balcon Group, and Beachwood Homes. Through behind-the-scenes footage, partner interviews, and insights, we underscored how their collective efforts shaped Orana into a thriving community hub.

The videos were visually rich, incorporating cinematic techniques that captured both the vibrant atmosphere and the intimate moments of engagement. An emotive soundtrack further enhanced the heartfelt tone of the campaign, ensuring a deeply resonant experience for viewers.

Strategic Distribution and Community Engagement.

Once the videos were finalised, BossMan Media implemented a strategic distribution plan to maximise their reach. The campaign was launched across the City of Casey’s website, social media platforms, and local television, ensuring broad visibility. Additionally, we collaborated with Balcon Group and Beachwood Homes to amplify the campaign within their networks, further extending its impact.

To foster deeper community involvement, we encouraged residents to share their personal experiences using the hashtag #OranaCommunity. This interactive element created a dynamic online conversation, strengthening engagement and fostering a sense of ownership among community members. By combining high-quality content with a thoughtful distribution strategy, we ensured the campaign resonated not only with locals but also with external stakeholders interested in community-led initiatives.

Impact and Recognition.

The Orana Community Place campaign delivered outstanding results, driving community engagement and public recognition. The campaign played a crucial role in raising awareness about Orana, increasing website traffic, and boosting participation in its programs.

Most notably, the City of Casey received the Community Project of the Year award, a testament to Orana’s significance and the impact of the storytelling campaign.

Beyond its immediate success, the campaign helped strengthen community connections by amplifying authentic voices and highlighting personal transformations. By celebrating the experiences of Orana’s residents and stakeholders, BossMan Media reinforced the centre’s role as a beacon of creativity, connection, and growth.

The videos not only promoted Orana but also solidified its reputation as a model for community engagement and development.
