Jac Murphy.
Strategist & Reality TV Anthropologist
Jac is a strategist, storyteller and professional overthinker. Depending on who you ask, she’s also the slightly annoying person who’s always asking, “But why?”
Outside of work, Jac is a self-confessed podcast addict, with a playlist that jumps from behavioural psychology and marketing to pop culture. She’s known for disappearing down the occasional rabbit hole, whether it’s a forgotten advertising campaign, a piece of behavioural research or something that starts with, “Did you know…?” She’s also a proud Real Housewives superfan. As a strategist, she prefers to think of it as conducting an entirely unofficial anthropological study of The Real Housewives franchise. She insists it’s less about the drama and more about social currency, shifting alliances and the fascinating ways people communicate, negotiate and influence one another.
That same curiosity shapes the way she approaches her work. Jac enjoys untangling complex briefs, understanding the tensions that shape behaviour and finding the thread that connects audiences with ideas. She believes the best strategy isn’t about making things sound smarter. It’s about making them easier to understand.
Over the past 15 years, she’s worked across Southern Cross Austereo, oOh!media, Nova Entertainment, ARN, Nine and now BossMan, with experience spanning radio, podcasts, television, digital, out-of-home and branded content. Working across so many platforms has given her a broad perspective on audiences, storytelling and how each channel plays a different role in building brands.
Until Bravo calls, she’s more than happy helping clients create work that people genuinely connect with.
